VHP2 supports training against cross-border behaviour

Transgressive behaviour remains a major problem in the workplace. To address this, social partners, together with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment and the Government Commissioner for Sexual Transgressive Behaviour, offer various training courses. These trainings aim to improve social safety in the workplace and support employees in dealing with undesirable behaviour.

Bystander training

One of the most important tools is the bystander training, in which participants learn how to act when observing undesirable behaviour in the workplace. The training, which is free and open to all, focuses on safe actions for both the bystander and the person experiencing the behaviour. After the training, there is access to an E-learning module for further in-depth training.

Works Council training Social Safety

For works council members, there is a Works Council training Social Safety. This training provides Works Council members with the knowledge and skills to promote social safety in their organisation. Participants learn how to recognise signs of cross-border behaviour and how to put it on the agenda within the organisation.

Inspiration session 'Socially safe behaviour in the workplace'

Retrieved from 7 November 2024 there will be a inspiration session place, organised by the Labour Foundation and the government commissioner. This meeting focuses on promoting socially safe behaviour in the workplace.

Sexual Offences Act toolkit

With the new Sexual Offences Act, which has been in force since 1 July 2024, victims of sexual violence are better protected. The ministry offers a toolkit with information on the law, including videos and messages for press and social media. This toolkit can be used to inform workers about their rights and the consequences of transgressive behaviour.

VHP2 encourages all members to participate in these trainings and contribute to a socially safe working environment. For more information and to register for one of the trainings, visit the VCP website.
