The media reports that a walk-out is being organised by the CNV and FNV. This action is likely to take place in early March.

The VHP2 itself is not actively participating in this action. We are happy to engage in substantive discussions with ASML first.

As far as VHP2 is concerned, the first round of talks was mainly exploratory. Naturally, we have our concerns about the way the reorganisation process is being approached; we will address this to the employer again in the next consultations.

The VHP2 sees scope to start negotiations for a social plan by mutual agreement. In addition, talks are being held with the works council; we support the path they are taking in decision-making.

What does this mean for VHP2 members?
The action organised by CNV/ FNV will take place outside working hours (it is not a strike). Any employee of ASML can join this action, including members of VHP2.

What does this mean for union relations?
The unions are still pulling together in formal consultations, the positions have not changed either. Actions like these have been organised by CNV and FNV more often at other companies. As far as VHP2 is concerned, this does not stand in the way of a good joint consultation with the employer.
