Besides your paid job, do you care for a parent, partner, child, neighbour or someone else close to you? If you help with practical matters in and around the house, administration, care, because there is no other way or because it is necessary, then you are a carer.
Even if you yourself might not call it that.

For many people, caring for a loved one comes naturally. You do it out of love. But what starts small can slowly grow. The care becomes more intensive and the responsibility increases. And meanwhile, your paid job continues. That can be beautiful and valuable. But also feel heavy.

Are you finding it increasingly difficult to combine work and caring responsibilities; that you lack energy or are unsure where to turn for help?

You don't have to carry it alone

Due to the growing number of employees who combine a job with care tasks, more and more attention is paid to informal care. VHP2 wants to take that a step further and offers concrete support with informal care coaching.

As a carer, you can turn to an experienced coach for advice, insight and a listening ear. Someone who understands what is going on, who thinks with you without judging what works for you.

Together with the coach, discuss how to keep the balance between work and care, how to talk to your employer and what choices are needed to keep it up. She will also help you set boundaries and regain an overview.

Interviews are personal and 1-to-1, online or in person, and are tailored to your situation and schedule. You are always in contact with the same coach to ensure trust and continuity.

Taking good care of another starts with taking good care of yourself!

If you work in the Metalektro, even if you are not (yet) a member of VHP2, you can free use of informal care coaching.
