The VHP2 has been informed by Versuni, the former hoover and Senseo branch of Philips, about a major reorganisation that has been announced. Versuni says it wants to respond faster to the market and increase its agility in order to strengthen its competitive position and achieve its long-term goals. It is not clear at the moment whether the reorganisation will involve compulsory redundancies. There will be job cuts but also job creation.
Meanwhile, a request for advice on this reorganisation has been submitted to the works council, which has to assess the usefulness and necessity of the proposed reorganisation. A consultation between Versuni and the unions is scheduled on 7 February next. The VHP2 will closely monitor whether Versuni carries out the reorganisation according to the rules and respects the workers' rights. At Versuni, a social plan agreed.
The VHP2 can well imagine that there are great concerns among staff about the announced reorganisation. Members who need advice and/or legal assistance can appeal to our legal service. This can be done by contacting the VHP2 at 040-2116222 or at casper.vaandrager@vhp2.nl
