This morning, the VHP2 was informed of a major reorganisation at ASML. Globally, “net” 1700 jobs are disappearing, most of them in the Netherlands. The impact takes place mainly within D&E ( Development and Engineering). This announcement is accompanied by positive annual figures for 2025 with revenue growth of 16% and net profit growth of over 25%. The outlook for 2026 is also extremely favourable. This only makes the scale of the reorganisation more painful for the employees who will be affected by it in the near future!
Together with the other unions involved, the VHP2 will fight for a generous social plan to still somewhat compensate for the consequences of forced layoffs. The first consultation on this is already scheduled for 28 January. The VHP2 will of course provide its -future- members affected by the reorganisation with advice and legal assistance. The VHP2 will also proactively approach its members with information about the reorganisation through -digital- meetings.
