Dear members,
Earlier this year, the CP, FNV and CNV jointly issued an ultimatum to the Government regarding the proposed measures relating to, amongst other things, the WW, WIA and AOW. As a trade union, VHP2 is a member of the VCP and endorses the objections and demands set out in this ultimatum.
As the Government has not met the demands set out to the trade unions’ satisfaction, the unions have once again announced industrial action. For the metalworking sector, which also includes Metalektro, on 11 September a 24-hour strike announced.
VHP2 supports the aim of these industrial actions, but is not, at this stage, calling on its members to go on strike of their own accord.
The strike action announced may vary from sector to sector. If you are a VHP2 member and are considering taking part in a strike or other collective action, please contact us in advance via info@vhp2.nl. We will work with you to determine which situation applies to you and what taking part would mean for you. To allow sufficient time to assess this carefully, we ask that you contact us by 8 September at the latest.
We will continue to monitor developments and will let you know if there is any reason to do so.
Sincerely,
On behalf of the board and the VHP2 negotiators,
Perry van Liempt
Director of VHP2
