VHP2 is a trade organisation for employees in the High Tech sector. With a driven office of professionals, led by the director, we work to improve labour relations, offer legal and professional support and assist our members with advice and information. We do this both individually and by negotiating collective labour agreements and social plans.
Role of the board
The board knows what is going on among members and in companies, it is responsible for the direction of the association and oversees it.
It submits the strategic policy plan and budget to the Members' Council for approval. Afterwards, it is accountable to the Members' Council for the policy pursued. It works closely with the office director. The board enables the director to lead the office and achieve the set goals.
Role of the director
The director is employed by VHP2, he manages the bureau and is in charge of preparing and implementing policy, both in the working area of employment conditions and in the bureau's operations. The director is not part of the board, but does attend board meetings.
Profile of the board as a whole
- The board consists of three to five members, appointed by the members' council on the basis of a profile and on the recommendation of a nomination committee.
- The board has a chairman, treasurer, secretary and general members. The board work for chairman, treasurer and secretary covers about 8 to 12 hours per month, while for general members it is about 4 to 8 hours per month.
Due to expiring terms of office, but also to strengthen the board, we are looking for board members who have an affinity with employee interests. Our preference is for candidates who are or have been employed by the companies where VHP2 is active.
