By a large majority of 72%, the members of the VHP2 have approved the outcome of the negotiations on the social plan at ASML. The members of the other trade unions have also given their approval. This means that the social plan finalised.
What do we do next?
The adoption of the social plan certainly does not mark the end of our work as a trade union. During the voting period, many members shared their concerns about the way in which the reorganisation is being carried out. We take these concerns very seriously.
We will raise these issues with ASML and continue to monitor the implementation of the reorganisation closely. Should any agreements set out in the social plan or statutory requirements not be complied with, we will raise this with ASML. In addition, together with the works council, we remain committed to reducing the number of compulsory redundancies as much as possible in the coming months and, where possible, bringing it down to zero.
Support for members
Over the past few months, we have received and answered many enquiries from members. We will continue to be available to provide support, advice and guidance in the coming period. Members who require legal support can, of course, continue to turn to us.
Involvement of VHP2 members
The past period has been intense, and this is likely to continue in the coming months. Thanks to our members’ commitment, their valuable input and their willingness to take action, we are convinced that, given the circumstances, the best possible result has been achieved.
The VHP2 would like to thank its members for the trust they have placed in us. We remain fully committed to living up to that trust in the coming period.
