Basic

The CBA Eurofins 2023-2024 applies to all employees of Eurofins Agro Testing Wageningen B.V.. This collective agreement governs terms and conditions of employment such as working hours, remuneration, pension, and leave arrangements. The collective agreement was agreed between Eurofins Agro Testing and the trade unions FNV and CNV Vakmensen.

The main points of the CBA are:

  • Duration: The collective agreement will run from 1 March 2023 to 31 December 2024.
  • Employer: Eurofins Agro Testing Wageningen B.V.
  • Trade union facilities: Employees have the right to support trade unions within the framework of the collective agreement.

Salary

As of 1 March 2023, salaries and pay scales within Eurofins Agro adjusted as follows:

  • Salary increase 1 March 2023: 4% pay rise for all employees.
  • One-off payment: In March 2023, permanent employees will receive a one-off payment of €500 gross.
  • Salary increase 1 July 2023: All salaries will be increased by €100 gross from 1 July 2023.
  • Salary increase 1 January 2024: A pay increase between 3.5% and 4%, depending on the inflation index (CPI).

Holidays and leave

The Cao Eurofins regulates holidays and leave for all employees. Below are the main regulations:

  • Holidays: Employees are entitled to 25 holidays based on full-time employment.
  • Holiday allowance: Holiday allowance is 8% of gross annual salary and is paid annually in May.
  • Special leave: The collective labour agreement allows for additional leave for marriage, relocation and death of loved ones, among others.

Pension

Eurofins Agro offers a pension scheme through Centraal Beheer Algemeen Pensioenfonds (APF). The main features of the pension scheme are:

  • Defined contribution scheme: Pension contribution is based on an age-related graduated scale.
  • Retirement age: The pension target age is 68.
  • Premium: The pension contribution amounts to a maximum of 25.2% of pensionable earnings, of which the employee contributes 6.66%.

Career and development

Within the Cao Eurofins attention is paid to the professional development of employees. There are various opportunities for training and development:

  • Training: Workers are entitled to education and training to enhance their professional competence.
  • Career scan: Employees can use a career scan to explore their career opportunities within or outside Eurofins.

Senior citizen scheme

Employees aged 60 and above can take advantage of a senior citizen scheme. This scheme allows them to work less while their pension accrual and other benefits remain largely intact.

The scheme includes:

  • Reduction of working hours: Employees can choose to work 80% while retaining 90% salary and 100% pension accrual.
  • Flexible retirement: Part-time retirement can be discussed in consultation with the employer.
