The Nexperia collective agreement applies to all employees of Nexperia B.V. Netherlands & ITEC B.V. The collective agreement regulates the terms and conditions of employment within the company. On this page you will find information on the most important parts of the collective agreement, such as salary, working hours, leave and more.
The basics
Duration
The Cao Nexperia has a duration of 1 October 2020 to 31 December 2022.
Declared generally binding (AVV)
The collective agreement applies to all employees of Nexperia B.V. Netherlands & ITEC B.V. and as such is binding on all parties involved.
Type of collective agreement
It concerns a standard collective agreement, meaning that the collective agreement may not be deviated from to the detriment of the employee.

- Employer: Nexperia B.V. Netherlands & ITEC B.V.
- Workers' organisations: FNV Metaal, CNV Vakmensen.nl
Pension Fund
Employees are affiliated with the Pension fund Metalektro (PME) for their pension provision.
Salary
Salary increases
- 1 July 2021: Structural increase of 2,7% of the reference salary.
- 1 May 2022: Structural increase of 2,5% of the reference salary.
One-off payment
- November 2021: One-off gross payment of 2,7% of the reference salary for the first 6 months of 2021.
Personal Budget
Employees receive a monthly personal budget, based on a percentage of the monthly salary, shift bonus and fixed special hours allowance. The percentage varies between 19,12% and 24,57%, depending on the duty roster.
Bonus scheme
- Employees in departments 10 to 90 are eligible for a bonus scheme.
- The bonus amounts upon achievement of targets:
- 5% For subject groups 10-75.
- 12% for subject groups 80 and 90.
- At maximum realisation, the bonus can amount to 200% of the nominal bonus.
Holiday allowance
The statutory holiday allowance of 8% is included in the personal budget. For employees aged 22 and over, the holiday allowance is at least:
- € 2.089,33 gross per annum from 1 July 2021.
- € 2.141,56 gross per annum from 1 May 2022.
Travel reimbursement
The collective agreement does not contain specific provisions on travel reimbursement. Any agreements on this are made internally.
Job evaluation
Departments
Employees are assigned to subject groups of 10 to 90 based on position and responsibilities. This classification determines the salary and any allowances.
Appraisal and salary increase
A performance review takes place annually. The outcome may affect salary, with possible increases per 1 April of the following year.
Training and development
Employability
- Nexperia is committed to the sustainable employability of employees.
- Employees can attend education and training courses to develop their knowledge and skills.
- There will be Personal Development Plans (PDP) drafted to capture individual career aspirations.
Training reimbursement
- Training that is in the interest of the job will be reimbursed by Nexperia.
- The time required to attend mandatory training is considered working time.
Reimbursement contribution
The collective agreement does not contain specific provisions on reimbursement of dues for membership of trade unions or professional associations. Employees can inquire with HR themselves about possible arrangements.
Contracts
Employment contract
- Employees receive a written employment contract.
- The employment contract, unless otherwise agreed, is entered into for indefinite period.
- There may be a probation be agreed of one month (for contracts shorter than 6 months) or two months (for contracts of 6 months or longer).
Notice period
- For employees in departments 10 to 45, the notice period is 1 month.
- For employees in departments 50 to 90, the notice period is 3 months.
Working hours and shifts
Working hours
- The standard working time amounts to 40 hours per week.
- Specific schedules with different working hours apply to shifts.
Shift work
- Shift workers receive a shift bonus on top of the monthly salary.
- The amount of the allowance depends on the duty roster and inconveniences.
Overtime
- In principle, overtime is compensated with paid leave.
- If this is not possible, overtime will be paid with an allowance varying between 25% and 100% depending on the time and day.
Holidays and leave
Holidays
- Employees are entitled to 25 holidays per year for full-time employment.
- In addition, employees can buying days purchase for additional leave.
Collective days off
- Employer can 5 collective days off determine after consultation with the works council.
Living wage scheme
- The life-course savings scheme lapsed from 31 December 2021.
Care leave
- Nexperia follows the Work and Care Act and provides opportunities for calamity leave and care leave, among others.
Part-time prior to retirement
- Employees can adjust their working hours five years before retirement date to 80%, while maintaining 90% of salary and full pension accrual.
Disease
Continued pay in case of illness
- In case of incapacity for work, the employee receives:
- 100% of wages for the first six months.
- 90% of wages after the first six months.
Reintegration
- Nexperia is actively committed to the reintegration of sick employees.
- Appropriate work is offered where possible.
