Employee participation
The works council (OR) plays a crucial role in reorganisations, schedule changes and automation. Increasingly, the OR also deals with subjects that used to be regulated in the collective labour agreement. VHP2 wants professionals to have more influence on important decisions within their organisation.
To achieve this, we aim for more professionals in the Works Council. As a union, we value good cooperation with the OR because:
- Both parties represent the interests of employees.
- VHP2 concludes the collective agreement, while the Works Council fleshes out the arrangements.
- In reorganisations or mergers, the Works Council consults on the new organisation, while VHP2 negotiates a social plan.
What does VHP2 do?
VHP2 nominates candidates from its constituency in Works Council elections. Trade union representatives get priority in their candidacy. Companies should therefore report their OR elections to us. We keep OR members informed of developments and offer an online platform for exchanging experiences and information.
A good cooperation between the OR and VHP2 ensures that your interests and those of your colleagues are better represented. Therefore, stand for election at the OR elections.
