Collective services
We are a trade union movement for secondary and higher technical personnel and represent the interests of the people who work in this field. For example, we consult with social partners and employers about good employment conditions, career development, technology and innovation, training and social plans.
Our collective interests
We negotiate and cooperate with large organisations such as Philips, Signify, ASML, NXP, Prysmian, Eaton, Thalys and KPN. We also actively participate in the Consultative Council for the Metalworking and Electrical Engineering Industry (ROM), the board of the Pension Fund for the Metal and Technology Industry (Pensioenfonds van de Metalektro - PME) and the Philips Pension fund. We are also represented in the Social Economic Council (SER) and the Labour Foundation (Dutch: Stichting van de Arbeid - stvda) via the Trade Union Confederation (Dutch: VCP). We are represented internationally in the European trade union movement.
Important results
Results in recent years were, among others, the realization of various CAOs such as the Metalektro CAO (150,000 employees), the Philips CAO and NXP CAO. Furthermore, partly due to our efforts, good social plans have been completed with among others Philips, Prysmian and Nokia.
